Dallas, Texas – A recent police operation in South Dallas led to the seizing of a lot of drugs and weapons, as well as the arrest of a 26-year-old man after a traffic stop. The Dallas Police Department announced the bust was the result of a tip passed along by the Texas Department of Public Safety, prompting the issuance of a search warrant for a residence located on the 3100 block of Harmon Street.
When the police got into the house, they found a lot of illegal drugs and drug-related items. They took more than 16 pounds of marijuana, more than five pounds of THC wax, about 1.3 kilos of Oxycodone, and more than 250 grams of THC-laced food.

The search uncovered smaller amounts of Adderall, eight vials of Promethazine, digital scales, a heat sealer for packing, and other things that are often used to sell drugs. Authorities also found a rifle magazine, a pistol magazine, a speed loader, and surveillance gear like several cameras and a DVR.
As police were searching, a man named Ricky Morrison drove up to the area, saw the police activity, and tried to fled the scene. Officers tracked him down and conducted a traffic stop after observing him fail to use a turn signal. He was taken into custody without resistance.
Morrison is now facing many allegations, such as making and delivering a restricted substance, having marijuana, and having a controlled substance. Other tickets include not signaling and driving without a valid license.

Authorities haven’t said exactly how Morrison is connected to the seized items or the property that is being looked into. His mugshot has yet to appear in the Dallas County jail roster.
“This operation shows how teamwork, inside and outside of our organization, can help protect our neighborhoods so our communities can feel safer living, working, and simply going about their lives,” said Major Nathan Swyers.
The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may follow as police work to determine the full scope of Morrison’s involvement.
