Dallas, Texas – Police in downtown Dallas arrested a wanted parole violator Thursday after coordinated efforts between officers and a local safety partner led to his quick identification and capture.
According to officials, the Central Business Division received information on February 12, 2026, about a man with a lengthy criminal background believed to be in the city’s downtown core.
Officers worked alongside Downtown Dallas, Inc. to track the individual’s possible location. Soon after, the organization reported that the man had been spotted near the intersection of Akard and Field streets, prompting an immediate response from the division’s Crime Response Team.
Officers arriving in the area located the suspect within a short time and took him into custody without incident. Authorities identified the man as 39-year-old Justin Bryan. He was arrested on a parole violation warrant issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division. In addition to the warrant, Bryan faces a charge related to possession of amphetamines.
Law enforcement leaders said the arrest reflects an ongoing commitment to public safety in the downtown district. Major John Madison stated that officers remain focused on finding and detaining individuals who are wanted and may present a risk to the community. He also noted the importance of cooperation between police and local organizations in helping officers respond quickly and effectively.
