Rockwall, Texas – A special opportunity for connection, creativity, and conversation is coming to Rockwall later this month. On Saturday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sisters of Grace Ministry will hold its annual Mother/Daughter Conference at the Perfect Landing Event Center on Airport Road. The event is for parents, grandmothers, female caregivers, and young women aged 12 to college. It will be a full day of meaningful activities, useful skills, and powerful information.
There will be a combination of hands-on workshops and insightful speeches at the conference, which is all about building healthy relationships and self-esteem. Tiffany Underwood Cosmetics will teach attendees how to do their makeup in a way that looks natural and boosts their confidence. During a watercolor painting workshop taught by Sylvia Rupara, an artist, artistic expression will also be very important.
Author Cyndi Scott will talk about her books Girl Talk and Secrets of the Soil and share stories and ideas that will help women and girls improve their communication and self-awareness. A big part of the day will be an interactive conversation about the differences between healthy and harmful relationships. This is a topic that is very important to Sisters of Grace Ministry’s purpose.
The group, which helps women who have been victims of domestic violence and betrayal, continues to help by providing information and services. The Mother/Daughter Conference is in line with that objective because it gives mothers and girls a place to grow, trust each other, and find support in their community.
It just $10 to get in, and everyone gets a refreshing charcuterie-style brunch and drinks. People who need help paying for school can get scholarships. Space is limited, and registration will conclude on July 18.
