H-E-B’s long-awaited arrival in Rockwall brings more than groceries as over 600 job openings promise economic lift and community transformation

Rockwall, Texas – H-E-B is bringing its famous mix of quality, community, and Texas pride to Rockwall. The store that many have been waiting for is finally getting ready to open in the fall. As part of the last push before opening, the grocery store chain based in San Antonio will hold a big hiring fair this coming Wednesday to fill more than 600 jobs in a variety of departments.

The hiring event will be held at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront Hotel on Summer Lee Drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It gives anyone looking for work an opportunity to work at one of Texas’ most popular grocery stores. There are both full-time and part-time jobs available in every aspect of the shop, from the bakery to the seafood department to the deli to the produce department to the market operations department and even H-E-B’s own True Texas BBQ restaurant.

To apply, people need to fill out an online application in advance. They can do this by going to careers.heb.com or texting “JOB810” to 81931 to see job openings at the Rockwall location.

The recruiting effort is the final phase in a project that started in June of last year when H-E-B began building its new 131,000-square-foot shop near the busy crossroads of Interstate 30 and South John King Boulevard. This location, which is next to the Honda dealership on the southwest side, was picked because it is easy to find and get to. This move reflects the company’s careful strategy in expanding across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

People in Rockwall are really excited about H-E-B’s coming. Residents who have long hoped that the company would expand into their neighborhood were overjoyed when they heard that the store will finally open.

H-E-B is expanding its presence in North Texas with this Rockwall shop as part of a larger growth plan. As East Metroplex residents get ready for the grand opening, new stores are also being built in Mansfield and the Alliance region of Fort Worth. This shows that the corporation seeks to compete with well-known stores like Kroger and Target.

But H-E-B isn’t just a grocery store. Every new store produces jobs and helps the neighborhood grow. More than 600 job openings in Rockwall aren’t just numbers; they mean new beginnings, job prospects, and the possibility of economic progress.
