Rockwall, Texas – Kristie Hudspeth, Assistant Principal of Pullen Elementary in Rockwall ISD, has been named the 2025 Region 10 Assistant Principal of the Year in a recent announcement made by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA). This honor emphasizes the outstanding leadership and dedication shown by assistant principals all around the state, especially those who significantly contribute to the welfare and success of their PK-8 schools.
The successes of Kristie Hudspeth at Pullen Elementary have raised expectations for neighborhood educational quality. The institution has created a vibrant and encouraging learning atmosphere under her direction whereby professors and students both thrive. Harley Eckhart, TEPSA Executive Director, hailed Hudspeth’s work.
“Kristie has played a pivotal role in creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment in their school community. We are proud to recognize Kristie’s leadership and dedication to ensuring students are engaged, and achieve success throughout their education,” said TEPSA Executive Director Harley Eckhart.
The Region 10 award is a component of a larger TEPSA project aimed at spotting exceptional educational leaders in each of its 20 divisions statewide. Recipients of these honors are selected for their exceptional efforts in creating programs that satisfy both academic and social needs of every student, developing close relationships with parents and local businesses, setting high expectations for their school staff and students, and displaying remarkable leadership in specific school programs.
The award places Hudspeth as a candidate for the 2025 NAESP National Assistant Principal of the Year for Texas, therefore attesting to her important influence in the field of education. Supported by Horace Mann, this national honor chooses leaders who exhibit a relentless dedication to community involvement and educational excellence.
Honorees like Hudspeth will be officially recognized at the TEPSA Legacy Luncheon, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 11, at the Round Rock Kalahari. This event honors the successes of outstanding leaders such as Hudspeth as well as emphasizes the vital part TEPSA does in creating a cooperative and learning-oriented community among educational leaders.
Established in 1917, TEPSA has a pillar in Texas’ educational leadership development. With a membership base of more than 5,900 leaders supervising the educational activities of more than 3 million PreK–8 school students, TEPSA remains a key player in improving the quality of education in Texas through professional development, peer interactions, and advocacy.
There is a clear sense of pride and expectation to honor the continuous accomplishments of committed leaders like Kristie Hudspeth, who help to define the future of education in Texas, as the community of Rockwall and the larger educational sphere await the TEPSA Legacy Luncheon.
