New Fort Worth police website streamlines services for residents and media, set to launch on Feb. 12

Fort Worth, Texas – Next Wednesday, February 12, the Fort Worth Police Department is scheduled to unveil a new website that promises the community a more simplified and user-friendly experience. This update is a component of a larger project to combine the online presence of the police department with the City’s main website, therefore improving accessibility and utility on a shared platform.

With the police department hoping to provide a modern, simple layout that streamlines user navigation, the forthcoming launch represents a notable departure from the current website. To serve the requirements of both residents and members of the media, the updated website will have separate areas for news updates, media resources, and social media integration.

The department has notified all media partners and community individuals who currently utilize the Media Portal as it moves to the new location. The current portal URL will soon be disabled; so, users are advised to update their bookmarks and shortcuts to the new website address, which is already operational to guarantee smooth access.

Several user-focused tabs on the new website are key improvements meant to help interactions between the police and the communities they serve. These sections cover basic services such as filing police reports, getting in touch with neighborhood police officers (NPOs), lodging compliments or complaints, and obtaining patrol, support services, crime statistics, and public information access information.

Extra tools are meant to involve community members more actively. Reiterating the department’s dedication to create a cooperative environment for public safety, these include options to participate in community safety projects, track towed vehicles, and provide police tips.

The department is excited about the changes, but it also notes that switching to new digital platforms might bring teething issues including minor defects or broken links. The Fort Worth Police Department welcomes comments and advises those users running across any problems to provide ideas for improvement.

This project is a result of the continuous dedication of the FWPD to guarantee City safety and improving public communication. The department wants to keep citizens well-informed on safety measures and events influencing their community by offering a more interesting and responsive online resource, therefore fostering safer surroundings for everyone.

The Fort Worth Police Department asks all community members to visit the new website, familiarize themselves with its capabilities, and help to create a better informed and linked Fort Worth as the launch date approaches.
