Rockwall celebrates National Night Out with block parties, cookouts, and first responder meetups on October 1

Rockwall, Texas – Next Tuesday, October 1, neighborhoods all over Rockwall will be busy with programs for National Night Out (NNO), a community-building campaign designed to strengthen relations between neighbors and law enforcement. People all over the nation celebrate the event in August. However, in order to avoid the intense Texas summer heat, the National Night Out in Rockwall and across Texas is celebrated in October.

Between 6 and 8 p.m., locals will be able to meet and talk to the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and city officials who serve their community as first responders. The goal of this year’s NNO is to improve the relationship between the community and the police so that Rockwall remains safe and more connected.
