Rockwall Police Department joins the No Shave November initiative and temporarily suspends the shaving policy

Rockwall, Texas – Officers with the Rockwall Police Department are joining No Shave November initiative as the department puts aside their standard shaving standards for the whole month. According to the department, Rockwall PD officers are allowed during the month of November to put their razor blades aside and grow beards to their liking. And all of that comes with a cause.

Rockwall PD officers can grow beards and goatees this month

The idea is simple. Rockwall PD officers are now allowed to grow their beards and goatees throughout November. Those who take advantage of the department’s temporary policy suspension will donate to a local cause. This year, officers decided to support and donate to Helping Hands of Rockwall County. This organization is known for supporting underserved populations in the Rockwall area.

As we already reported, Helping Hands of Rockwall County is in charge of a low-cost community clinic that offers essential medical services to those in need. While officers now have the ability to finally change their look without breaking the department’s policies, they are also raising awareness about what Helping Hands of Rockwall County is doing and their positive impact in the Rockwall community.

The no-beards policy suspension for November means that the Rockwall Police Department is trying to be actively involved in community happenings and get closer to local residents. Although this is a symbolic gesture that won’t affect the regular daily operations in any way, it shows the department’s commitment and dedication to actively support the community and those in need in diverse ways.

More people are expected to join the No Shave November initiative

This change sparked positive reactions both from Rockwall residents and within the department. Raising funds for Helping Hands of Rockwall County is just part of the initiative. For officers, this also means closely connecting with the residents they serve. Taking part in No Shave November will hopefully encourage more local residents to take part in the initiative with the aim of raising ever more funds and donations for helping those in need.

Join the Rockwall Police Department initiative

The cops in Rockwall are doing something really cool this November. They are showing a different side of police by growing out their beards and helping a local charity at the same time. In the neighborhood, it makes a big difference when people do little things like this.
