Rockwall County, Texas – The Rockwall County Detention Center has released its inmate statistics for November 2024, providing a snapshot of the facility’s activity during the month. The data highlights trends in bookings, releases, and the nature of charges faced by individuals held in the center.
Reflecting the facility’s consistent capacity, 273 prisoners were accommodated daily on average. 256 people were booked into the detention center over the month, while 266 were released, suggesting an almost equal balance between arriving and leaving population.
Examining gender statistics reveals that, with 193 men visiting the facility compared to 63 women, most of the booked were male. Release data likewise showed similar trend: 205 men and 61 women left the center in November.
The nature of the charges prisoners face also provides insight into the legal landscape. Among those booked, 94 were accused of felonies, which emphasizes the presence of more serious offenses in the county. 152 people were booked on misdemeanor charges, therefore underscoring a wider range of offenses.
One of the more telling statistics is the average length of confinement, which stood at 75 days. This number implies that many people spend a lot of time at the detention center, probably waiting for court hearings or serving shorter terms.
