Rockwall County, Texas – Rockwall County Volkswagen hosted its groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday for their new state-of-the-art facility located in Fate. The 34,000-square-foot establishment is set to become the greenest and most modernized center of automotive retailing and servicing within Rockwall County.

The Zamora family-owned business, ZTEX LLC, plans to open this innovative two-story lobby and service area by fall 2024. This highly anticipated project will feature an array of amenities, including complimentary snacks and beverages, along with same-day services aimed at enhancing the customer experience.

In addition to traditional sales techniques employed by dealerships across the country, Rockwall’s latest venture will offer customers both online and physical purchase options from an extensive range of brand-new or pre-owned vehicles available under one roof.

Moreover, keeping pace with global trends towards electric mobility solutions, public charging stations have been planned for all types of electric vehicles, thereby making it more convenient than ever before for EV owners visiting the premises either for shopping or availing of maintenance services.

In May, CBRE (Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis) announced that Mr. Zamora’s firm had purchased land measuring approximately five acres situated north-westwards where I-30 intersects FM551 inside city limits, marking his organization’s first-ever presence within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex region after having successfully established three similar outlets elsewhere statewide previously.
ZTEX LLC bought the property from Petro-Hunt
This move was made possible following Petro-Hunt selling off part of their property at an undisclosed price. During the negotiation process, Petro-Hunt was being represented by Thurston Witt with CBRE, the firm that also represented ZTEX LLC, led by Christopher Zamora.

“Rockwall County was identified by Volkswagen as a high-growth area with no current brand representation,” said Mr. Witt in a press release in May. “Mr. Zamora’s bid was selected out of several applicants to open the dealership because of his organization’s track record regarding client satisfaction, state-of-the art facilities, sales volume, and a strategic vision for the future.”
Petro-Hunt plans commercial, retail, and residential spaces on the remaining 250 acres of land in Fate
In May, Petro-Hunt LLC announced plans to develop their remaining 250 acres of land in Fate into commercial, retail, and residential spaces. This development strategy is expected to further bolster economic growth within the region.
