Rockwall, Texas – The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has given Texas Health Hospital Rockwall its prestigious Pathway to Excellence® title. This is the first time this has ever happened in history. With this award, it is the ninth center in the Texas Health system to reach this level of excellence.
The Pathway to Excellence designation is a huge recognition for Texas Health Hospital Rockwall
The ANCC’s Pathway to Excellence Program acknowledges healthcare organizations that demonstrate an unyielding commitment to fostering positive practice environments that engage and empower staff members. The program considers various elements, including leadership quality, safety measures, and overall service excellence, when designating facilities as ‘Pathways’.
Chief Nursing Officer at Texas Health Rockwall, Tami Hlus, R.N., was proud to receive such high honors.
“At Texas Health Rockwall, we strive to create a professional practice environment that engages our team to do their best work,” Hlus said. “We promote professional development and shared decision-making, and we’re thankful to be recognized for our efforts.”
Only 203 organizations in the world have received the Pathway to Excellence designation
There are 203 global pathway-designated organizations in the world, and 38 of them are in Texas alone. The revalidation process happens every four years, and this makes it very competitive and satisfying.
Hlus also acknowledged how much dedication went into earning this honor.
“This designation represents the devotion of hundreds of Texas Health Rockwall employees,” Hlus said.
She pledged on behalf of all those involved within Texas Health Hospital Rockwall that they would continue striving toward maintaining standards, ensuring continued recognition as one of the top places nurses prefer working across entire state.
Texas Health Hospital Rockwall will continue to invest in employees
By putting a lot of capital into creating the best working conditions for nurses, hospitals like Texas Health Hospital Rockwall not only attract new employees but also keep the ones they have by making their staff members more satisfied with their jobs. This way, the hospital can be more efficient over a longer period of time instead of just focusing on short-term gains from fast growth strategies, which is common in today’s fast-paced health care industry.
As part of the application process that leads to eventual “pathways” status, frontline nursing staff must confirm that their own experiences during tenure meet the criteria set out in the standard guidelines for each pathway. This is another unique feature that sets this program apart from others like it that are available elsewhere.
As Texas Health Rockwall continues on this Pathway of Excellence®, their dedication to offering top-notch healthcare services and making sure their employees are engaged and happy has set them apart in the industry.
