Rockwall PD doesn’t have enough evidence to form a case against the once-famous actor and singer Mitchel Musso

Rockwall, Texas – TMZ has reported that the case against once-famous actor and singer “Hannah Montana” star Mitchel Musso was dropped. The decision, according to TMZ, comes months after the incident when Mitchel Musso was arrested because Rockwall PD didn’t provide enough evidence for prosecution.

All charges against Mitchel Musso are now dropped

The information was confirmed by a representative for the city of Rockwall to TMZ, but the source didn’t provide more specifics behind the decision. Since all the charges against Mitchel Musso are now dropped and there will be no conviction or deferred adjudication, the Rockwall Police Department won’t release additional details about the incident, including body cam footage.

Mitchel Musso was initially facing several charges for an incident that took place on Saturday, August 26. Several outlets then reported that Mitchel Musso behaved belligerently and got into verbal altercations with several hotel guests and hotel staff after he was accused of stealing items from the hotel’s food market. Allegedly, Mitchel Musso was confronted by hotel employees who demanded payment for stolen goods—snacks like potato chips—after which Mitchel Musso reportedly became verbally abusive before leaving abruptly.

Rockwall PD officers initially said that Mitchel Musso was intoxicated at the time of the incident

When officers arrived on scene, they found Musso outside the premises, appearing intoxicated. This led officers to conduct further investigations, revealing outstanding traffic warrants under his name. Musso was immediately detained, followed by several charges, including but not limited to: public intoxication, theft (under $100), expired registration, failure to display a driver’s license, and violating the promise to appear notice. However, all of these charges have now been entirely dropped, as per the latest, not officially confirmed updates.

Rockwall PD hasn’t officially confirmed the information about the Mitchel Musso case

It is important to note, though, that while authorities are yet to release more details regarding why exactly the police decided to drop the entire matter, there were indeed some serious accusations made against the ex-Disney actor during the initial stages of the case: Mitchel Musso was reportedly acting aggressively and refused to pay for items taken unlawfully for the hotel food store. However, despite these claims, it seems law enforcement agencies simply do not possess sufficient evidence to form a solid legal argument, hence the dismissal.

After the August incident and arrest, Musso was subsequently released after posting a $1,000 bond.

Mitchel Musso is best known for his Oliver Oken role in the popular teen sitcom Hannah Montana.

Musso’s career has seen considerable decline since his days playing one of Miley Cyrus’s best friends in the Disney Channel hit show, and incidents like this are not working in his favor.

While Musso may have escaped the threat of a criminal conviction for now, there are still many unanswered questions surrounding these events. We will update the story once the Rockwall PD decides to share more details about the dismissal.

What has Mitchel Musso said so far regarding the arrest

“I was absolutely not drunk or drinking, and there was 100% no theft,” Musso told EW. “It’s unfortunate, it’s a misunderstanding.”

“I didn’t know it was illegal not to wear shirts these days,” Musso added, explaining that he had just come in with friends from a docked boat on the harbor to restock their snack supply. He says that the employee who was “agitated from the get go” grabbed the chips out of his hand.”
